a summer's-day

the magpie's promise
to the vernal equinox
a summer of songs !
...........................
step into my day
like 'a mid summer night's dream'
'fill up my senses' !
......................
changes the idiom
one swallow makes a summer
your touch in winter !
.........................
is it the season
or your laughter that maketh
the carnations bloom ! ..
..........................

  11. I ache to see the magpies. Alas, they don't dwell here -- winter or summer. But I heard them in your first.
