if only i had time
sorrows of the world or the world of my sorrows only so much time .......................... a river of life unerupted volcanoes time is the referee .......................... /original/zg
Love the alternative images of the first two lines! Powerful introduction demanding attention! And time being the referee suggests that time may monitor the rules of life but doesn't actually participate in the game!
zg-- I love living in the land of volcanoes here in the northwest US...precisely for the reason you so beautifully noted--the feeling of time ticking, unerupted!
wow, we all live so close... well, sorta.. inland nw, just east of spokane... the referee of life... hope he knows the rules of the game... love the mirrored reflection too!
"time is the referee"
ReplyDeleteonly time tells us to stop..
great piece! =)

ReplyDeleteTime is objective. Sometimes I wonder how time will call the play when the volcano does erupt!
ReplyDeleteThe first 2 lines are compelling.... the volcanoes of the one verses the many. Marvelous.
ReplyDeleteTime can be a hard referee ... glad I don't live in Washington State. You do so much with so few words, and the last one is by far my favorite.
ReplyDeletetime heal anything.
ReplyDeletei , too, love the first two sentance and the point they show
i like this.. sorrows of my world or world of my sorrows.
ReplyDeleteYes, life does feel like this at times. We live in for the time in between volcanoes.
ReplyDeleteIndeed...the RIVER has life in it...quite a sight to see here.
ReplyDeleteTime as the referee opens the box of unknown. Lovely work...

ReplyDeleteAh, time the referee, this was cool.
ReplyDeletethe idea of time as a referee is worth some deep thought...
ReplyDeletelike both, but particularly the second one "time is the referee"- nice!
