stairways

just follow the words
through the stairways of your life
to find a poem!
..............................
such a distant moon
whim's silvern sensuous clouds
my only stairway!
...............................
the 'godfather' laughed
stairways to the underworld
you never ascend!
.............................
every syllable
took me closer to a song
step by step by step!

    I like the way the first and last bring the haiku full circle. And I especially like the idea of following the words to a poem. That is a beautiful image of the creative process.

    'every syllable took me closer'..this reminds me of the stairway of memory my husband and I often climb, with hints of alphabet sounds taking us halfway there, one of us finally arrives at the top with the forgotten name. All of your verses are lovely.
